2017 Event
As the dust settles on the inaugural Whitehorse Big Easy we would like to thank everyone who made this event possible. The amazing support that we received really highlighted what an amazing community spirit we have in Waimate. No one ever said no to requests for assistance, sponsorship, or time, with offers of help coming in thick and fast.
The breakdown of the funding distribution is as follows (total $22,872.50)
North Otago Asthma Society - $522.50
KidsCan - $1,000
South Canterbury Hospice - $1,000
Centrecare Counselling - $2,000
Waimate Trackways - $1,000
Whitehorse MTB Club - $7,000
Rotary Club of Waimate - $10,350
The Waimate Rotary Club would like to thank everyone for their support. In particular we would thank our key partners the Whitehorse MTB Club, and the Waimate Toc-H Harriers for all of their work behind the scenes getting this event across the line. It is through fundraisers like this that the Rotary Club can continue to support countless activities within the community every year.
On a final note we look forward to seeing you again next year for what will hopefully be an even bigger and better event!
